Thank you for being part of the Festival and leading your favourite walks. On this webpage are policy documents to read (Health & Safety, Safeguarding & Diversity, Data Privacy), and a Risk Assessment template to complete and return to the Walking Festival Committee by email: bcwalkingfest@gmail.
Risk Assessment.
A risk assessment is required for each walk. Please complete the risk asessment form after you have recce'd your walk and email a copy to [email protected]

Health & Safety.
The walks we organise carry an inherent risk, which will vary according to terrain, weather conditions (before and during the walk) and ability of the participants. All reasonable steps are taken to minimise risk and to ensure the health and safety of both participants and leaders/co-leaders.

Safeguarding and Diversity Policy.
The Bishop's Castle Walking Festival Committee organises walks in the Bishop’s Castle area and maintains responsibilities for safeguarding those involved or affected by its activities. The organisation observes a duty of care towards volunteers and participants and acknowledges that agents and members of the public may be influenced by its operations.
