With fingers crossed we are planning for and hope to be able to operate the full Bishop’s Castle Walking Festival 2021, however, it will be subject to government guidelines and as such we may have to change our plans at short notice. We will update these rules as the government guidance changes and it is clear that the festival will be able to go ahead as planned.
The following rules will apply:
Cancellations:
We will contact those attending a particular walk which has to be cancelled due to any change in government guidelines for the area, or any other reason.
Refunds:
Should we have to cancel individual walks and/or the entire event, full refunds will be given for any advance bookings.
Indoor Evening Events:
Due to the uncertainty of the situation we have not yet arranged any indoor evening entertainment for the festival This will change if we are able to do so safely and in accordance with government guidelines.
The following rules will apply:
- Do not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. By attending you are declaring that you do not.
- If you need to cancel please contact us at bcwalkingfest@gmail.com immediately.
- Car sharing with others than your household / support bubble is not permitted. You should only travel to the start point of a walk by car with members of your household / support bubble. Please follow government guidelines and advice on this.
- Bring a face covering, in case social distancing cannot be maintained, and sanitising gel.
- At the start and end of the walk and during stops, maintain social distancing of at least 2m.
- Once we set off please do not bunch up at stiles and places where the path narrows.
- Minimise, as much as possible, touching gates and posts. When you have to, use sanitising gel before subsequently touching your face.
- If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 after the event you MUST inform the Walk Leader, so that we can alert the ‘track and trace’ system of all participants on your walk. This applies for 14 days following the walk (see symptoms on the Government website: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/
